A Federal High Court in Lagos, on Monday, convicted and sentenced a 37-year-old man, David Ndirmbola, to one year imprisonment for drug trafficking.

Ndirmbola pleaded guilty to a count charge during re-arraignment before Justice Nnamdi Dimgba.

He was first arraigned before Justice Peter Lifu. He had equally pleaded guilty before Lifu.

However, Lifu was later transferred from Lagos and the case re-assigned to Dimgba.

Following Ndirmbola’s guilty plea, the court reviewed the facts of the case, with NDLEA counsel, Ms Ifeoma Erondu, tendering several exhibits which were admitted by the court.

Erondu then urged the court to convict and sentence him based on his guilty plea and evidence presented by prosecution.
