Edo 2024: Sowore storms Benin city for AAC campaign flag-off

Former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has urged the people of Edo state to vote for the party’s candidate in the 21 September governorship election, Dr. Oberiafoh Udoh, for the change they desire.

The human rights activist who is also the national leader of the party, stated this on Tuesday in Benin city, at the governorship campaign flag-off of the party, even as he urged them to anticipate victory at election.

According to him, “I’m so delighted to be here today, it’s a thing of joy. I’m assuring you dear Edolites, that the change you desire is here today, cry no more for Edo State is about to regain her lost glory.”

Addressing the crowd at the campaign flag-off, the governorship candidate, Dr. Oberiafoh Udoh, stressed that his government would ensure that the dream of the state becomes a reality.

He explained that his “progressive agenda focuses on investment, education, security and agriculture, among others.”

The governorship hopeful who assured that he would not disappoint the state on the confidence reposed in him when elected, urged the people to give him a chance to prove to them what God has deposited in him.

Also speaking, the state chairman of AAC, Mr. Gabriel Erhahon, who assured Edo people of divine change, urged them to come out in their numbers to cast and protect their votes on 21 September.

Others dignitaries at the campaign flag-off held at the Edo Youth House, in Benin, include the party’s deputy chairman, Mike Ogbanya; state secretary, Pastor Nathaniel, national organizing secretary, Paul Oshiokhue; TIB national coordinator, Juwon Sanyaolu and all local government chairmen.
