The nationwide industrial action embarked upon by the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC and Trade Union Congress, TUC, has started taking its toll on judiciary as lawyers and litigants were prevented from entering the Federal High Court in Ikoyi and Lagos High Courts, at Tafawa Balewa Square on Monday morning.

Early arrivals at the court premises were gently told by the strike enforcers to please comply with the order, as “we are shutting down the court in strict compliance with JUSUN (Judiciary Union of Nigeria) order”.

The same situation was recorded at all Magistrates’ courts and Lagos High courts at the Mainland and Island areas.

The courts remain shut as JUSUN executives took their stands at the entrance to stop anybody from going in.
