Renowned Nigerian music sensation, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, famously known as D’Banj, has attributed his successful 20-year music journey to his former collabor0ator and music producer, Michael Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy.

D’Banj expressed his gratitude towards the co-founder of Mo’ Hits Records in a series of Instagram posts on Thursday, reminiscing about the years filled with love, entertainment, and strong support.

The partnership between the two musical icons saw its end in March 2012 when Don Jazzy announced D’Banj’s departure from the group via Twitter. The split was attributed to diverging interests.

Following their separation, Don Jazzy went on to establish Mavin Records.

In one of his emotional posts, D’Banj noted the significance of Don Jazzy in his musical journey, inviting him to an anniversary dinner and acknowledging their shared memories and milestones over two decades.

“My 20 year journey cannot be complete without It’s @donjazzy again! “Giving him the invite to my anniversary dinner was a moment filled with nostalgia. As we both celebrate 20 years in the industry, I’m reminded of the countless memories and milestones we’ve shared together. “Here’s to two decades of brotherhood, entertainment, and strong support. Love you always, Brother! OooSHeeeee.”

Don Jazzy reciprocated the sentiment, expressing disbelief that two decades had already passed and thanking D’Banj for their enduring bond.

To celebrate his 20-year milestone, D’Banj announced a free concert at the New Afrika Shrine on June 11th, inviting his fans and supporters to join him in commemorating his journey from the streets to stardom.

“It’s a FREE concert in celebration of my 20 years on stage for all of you who have stuck with the Koko Master since ‘04 till date! Let’s turn up the energy, Lagos! “The street is where it all started, and we’re taking it back to where it all began “Let me hear you say yeahhhh yeahhh.”
