The Nigeria Labour Congress says the nationwide strike continues pending the review of the Monday with the Federal Government.

The NLC said this in a post on X, on Tuesday. It said its organs would have to consider the resolutions of the meeting with the FG before taking a decision on the strike.

“Until we hear from our organs at our meeting scheduled for today, June 4, we are still on strike,” the post said.

However expectations are high that NLC and the Trade Union Congress will call off its strike after meeting with their organs.

The crucial meeting between government officials and labour leaders chaired by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume had led the parties to agree that the tripartite committee on minimum wage would meet everyday for a week.
