Nollywood actress and entrepreneur Mary Remmy Njoku has strongly warned Nigerian ladies to avoid becoming ‘victims’ of any situation in Nigeria.
Posting on her Instagram, Njoku advised ladies to avoid becoming victims in Nigeria, warning that they would be blamed even in death.
As the CEO of ROK Studios, Njoku emphasized the need for societal improvement.
“Dear ladies, whatever you do, don’t ever be a victim in Nigeria. Even if you die, it’s your fault. We need to start doing better as a people.”
In the comment section, Njoku engaged with a critic who questioned her stance, particularly about missing Nigerian women. She argued against the assumption that these women were involved in transactional sex, noting that people often find love online, including through church dating sites.
“How do you know it was transactional sex? Where is the proof? People find love online. Even some churches have dating sites. Or anywhere you see Nigerian girls with a guy, she is automatically a sex worker? Is sex now the biggest crime in Nigeria? Let’s be humane, please.”
