Federal High Court judges to go on vacation

The judges of the Federal High Court will on July 23 commence its annual vacation.

This was announced by the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Justice John Tsoho via a statement shared by Assistant Director Information and ICT of the Federal High Court, Catherine Christopher.

The statement said the vacation will end on Friday, September 13.

The CJ said the vacation was taking effect by the provisions of Order 46, Rule 4 (d) of the Federal High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules 2019.

According to him the vacation will help the “judges to enjoy their well-deserved rest and to prepare for the tasks and activities of the New Legal year.”

He, however, said urgent matters for litigation will hold in Abuja, Lagos and Port- Harcourt being the premier divisions of the Federal High Court.

According to the statement Justice Emeka Nwite and Justice Peter O. Lifu will be handling urgent cases at the Federal High Court, Abuja.

For the Lagos Division, Justice Akintayo Aluko and Justice Isaac Dipeolu will handle the cases while Justice A. T. Mohammed and Justice P. M. Ayua, will be available for the Port-Harcourt cases.
