Nigerian disk jokey Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has announced her plans to return to school to earn a fourth degree.
The 31-year-old daughter of billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, made this announcement in a video shared on her social media platforms on Monday.
“Have the courage to break the patterns in your life that are no longer serving you. It changed me completely!” she captioned the video.
In the video, she also stated that she already has three degrees, but her love for learning is what motivated her to apply to an academically demanding university.
Cuppy, who is known for flaunting her achievements on social media, in another post urged her fans to always celebrate their achievements, adding that celebrating one’s achievements builds confidence and motivation.
She wrote, “Be proud of yourself and be your biggest cheerleader. Make sure you celebrate your achievements to build confidence AND stay motivated!! #CuppyOnAMission.”
In October 2021, Cuppy commenced her master’s degree programme in African Studies at Oxford University.
She completed her thesis which is the required academic research work the following year. She said although she did not get merit or distinction, she is glad to have passed the thesis.
Last year, Cuppy bagged her third degree and second master’s (MSc) from the University of Oxford, England.
Cuppy was recently appointed as King’s Trust International Ambassador to King Charles III.
British monarch King Charles III invited DJ Cuppy to a reception at Buckingham Palace in celebration of The King’s Trust Awards 2024.
