Popular singer Korede Bello has shared his experiences of growing up with a father who smoked cigarettes.

During a recent appearance on the ‘Say My Piece’ podcast, hosted by media personality and actress Omotunde Adebowale David (Lolo1), Korede recounted witnessing his father’s smoking habits as a child.

Despite being sent to buy cigarettes for his father, he was repeatedly warned against smoking himself.

Korede admitted that he had tried smoking but eventually quit, realizing it wasn’t for him.

He stressed that his father’s advice and his own experiences led him to view smoking as unhealthy.

He said, “I tried weed before, but it’s not my thing. Early on, I realized that I have an addictive personality, so anything pleasurable could turn into an addiction. My dad smoked a lot and often sent me to get him cigarettes. He coughed a lot, and when I asked why, he said it was because of the cigarettes. He warned me not to smoke if I didn’t want to cough like him.”
