Fast-rising Nigerian singer, Chukwuma Chinaza Ferdinand, popularly known as ShineTTW has been named by Apple Music as an ‘Up Next’ artiste.

‘Up Next’ is a monthly programme published by Apple Music aimed at identifying, showcasing and elevating rising star talent worldwide.

According to a statement on Wednesday, ShineTTW will be featured across Apple Music’s localised ‘Up Next’ playlist, which offers a dynamic collection of emerging artistes.

“This prestigious honour places ShineTTW in rarified company, highlighting his exceptional talent and promising future in the international music scene,” the statement reads.

“This genre-agnostic playlist aims to introduce a larger audience to exceptional new talent, spotlighting ShineTTW’s unique Afro-Sentio sound.”

Speaking on the recognition, ShineTTW said it is a celebration of his journey and a reward for his hard work.

“Being named Apple Music’s ‘Up Next’ artist is a huge honour and a reward to the hard work and passion I pour into my music,” he said.

“This recognition not only celebrates my journey so far but also sets the stage for ‘The Chosen One’, my first project that embodies my range, artistic vision and unique sound.”

ShineTTW’s innovative style blends elements of Nigerian R&B and pop, creating an immersive and emotional listening experience.

This distinctive approach is evident in his upcoming debut EP titled ‘The Chosen One’.

The ‘Up Next’ initiative will feature ShineTTW in a multifaceted campaign, including a documentary that highlights his artistic process and personal journey.

Since its debut in 2017, Apple Music’s ‘Up Next’ program has featured music stars such as Burna Boy, Rema, Billie Eilish, 6lack, GIVĒON, Khalid, Megan Thee Stallion, and Mr Eazi.

ShineTTW, (Shine To The World), is a promising Nigerian singer from the southeast part of Nigeria. He had his secondary school education in Anambra, where his knack for singing and beatboxing earned him the tag “class entertainer.”

His love and interest in music are deeply rooted in his genes and childhood after being raised in a creative household with his dad as a DJ at the time. He decided to go into music full-time in 2018.

He describes his sound as Afro-Sentio. Sentio is Latin for experience, he wants his audience to mirror his feelings with every listen, He looks to take advantage of the momentary hyper-focus on Afrobeats and share his deep immersive sound with Africa and beyond.

Shine TTW has made a significant project as a newcomer in the music industry with songs like No Religion, Designer, Enjoy Yourself. His late song Alinko is still enjoying airwaves.

Judging by how relevant these songs have connected with pop culture, Shine TTW may be topping the charts with his upcoming songs in 2024.

Shine TTW is also among PM News’ 24 artistes to look out for in 2024.
