National Leader and 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, has praised Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for keeping faith with the manifesto, vision and mission of the party.
Kwankwaso gave Yusuf a high score for delivering democratic dividends to the people of Kano state.
Yusuf is the only NNPP governor in Nigeria.
Kwankwaso who is also a former governor of the state and mentor to Yusuf, said he was satisfied with the style of the Kano helmsman’s governance, which he described as transformational leadership.
Kwankwaso praised Yusuf for his “outstanding performance during the first year of stewardship in Kano state”.
Kwankwaso commended Governor Yusuf’s dedication to advancing education and women empowerment initiatives aimed at enhancing the lives of Kano state residents, aligning with the values of the Kwankwasiyya philosophy.
He expressed delight at what he saw as Yusuf’s commitment towards empowering women and youths with substantial support, noting its significance for rural entrepreneurship development.
Recalling his experience as a former governor, Senator Kwankwaso emphasized the importance of effective monitoring to ensure equitable distribution of empowerment grants.
Kwankwaso called for enhanced efforts in security, empowerment of the less privileged, and advancement of developmental projects, underscoring his commitment as a stakeholder to provide valuable guidance and support to the government.
Governor Yusuf, in response, thanked Senator Kwankwaso for his mentorship and reiterated his administration’s dedication to upholding the principles of the Kwankwasiyya movement for continued progress and development in Kano state.
