Romania crush Ukraine 3-0 on Monday at their first match at Euro 2024 in Germany in a flying start in Group E that also have Belgium and Slovakia.

Romania opened the scoring 29th minute into the game. Nicolae Stanciu got a shot away from the edge of the box and scored into the top left corner, with Dennis Man providing an assist for the goal.

Shortly after the restart, Romania doubled their lead. Razvan Marin quickly got to a rebound. He slammed the ball towards the goal. To the amazement of all, it went all the way into the bottom left corner.

In the 56th minute, Andrei Ratiu ran onto the ball inside the box and smashed it towards the top right corner. It was a great effort but an even better save from Andriy Lunin, who tipped the ball over the bar.

A minute later, Romania hit their third goal. Denis Dragus finished from close range with an easy finish after he was assisted by Dennis Man.

Nicolae Stanciu, in the 69th minute struck the ball from a direct free kick on the edge of the box. His shot only went narrowly wide of the left post.

In the 85th minute, Mykhailo Mudryk picked up a perfect pass inside the box, made himself some space for a shot, but his effort went just over the crossbar.
