Labour’s Keir Starmer is set to become the United Kingdom’s (UK’s) next prime minister after an exit poll projected a landslide win for his party.
Millions of people in UK went to poll on Thursday to vote for the party of their choice.
According to exit poll, Starmer’s Labour is projected to win 410 seats in the parliament, against Rishi Sunak’s Conservative Party projected to win 131 seats.
The poll said Labour is set for a 170-seat landslide majority.
The Liberal Democrats is projected to win 61 seats; Nigel Farage’s Reform UK, 13 seats and the Scottish National Party,10 seats.
According CNN, the poll predicts a disastrous night ahead for the Conservative Party, forecasting its lowest-ever total number of seats and bringing a brutal end to Rishi Sunak’s premiership.
