Nigerian singer, songwriter and a record producer, Emoseh Khamofu popularly known as Bloody Civilian has said she is “jealous” of the artiste Shallipopi‘s success.

Bloody Civilian had a chat with her music industry colleague Fave and the film stars Susan Pwajok and Genoveva Umeh.

The singer revealed that her envy is because he is living the life she deserves.

“My secret is I am jealous of Shallipopi because he is living the life I deserve,” she said.

The Abuja-born singer is signed to 0207 Def Jam, the UK arm of Def Jam Recordings, under Tunji Balogun—who was responsible for signing Tems, SZA, and Kendrick Lamar—and is managed by Seni “Chubbz” Saraki, co-founder of NATIVE.

She is best known for her singles ‘How To Kill A Man’ and ‘Wake Up’ featuring Rema.

Her song with Rema was featured in the 2022 American superhero film ‘Black Panther’.

Bloody Civilian is also notable for her collaboration on ‘Blood on the Dance Floor’ with Odumodublvck.

Shallipopi, on the other hand, rose to fame after releasing his first single titled ‘Elon Musk’ in March 2023.

His songs have garnered a positive reception since he gained recognition.

He has also released other hit songs including ‘Obapluto’, ‘Cast’, ‘Ex-Convict’, and ‘Oscroh’.

On October 17, 2023, Shallipopi launched his record label Records, and unveiled Tega Boi and Zerrydl on the same day.

In March, he marked his first anniversary since he gained prominence in the music industry.

The 24-year-old recently revealed that a 1994 Chinese movie, ‘Shaolin Popey‘, inspired his stage name.
