Nigerian-American musician, Collins Obinna Chibueze, popularly known as Shaboozey, has set a new record after earning his first U.S Billboard Hot 100 number-one song.

‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ by Shaboozey topped the chart in the latest weekly ranking after climbing up for 12 weeks.

“Billboard Hot 100: #1(+1) A Bar Song (Tipsy), Shaboozey (@ShaboozeysJeans) [12 weeks]. *new peak*,” music monitoring platform, Chart Data tweeted Monday night.

Following the feat, Shaboozey joined Beyoncé as the only Black artists to simultaneously rank number-one on the Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs charts.

Reacting to the achievement, the Nigerian born singer wrote on his X page, “The actual feeling of having your “dreams come true” is indescribable, and I hope everyone gets to experience it at some point in life.”

Shaboozey was featured on the Cowboy Cater Album By Beyonce.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the country music star noted that working with Beyoncé changed his life.
