International leaders are writing messages of support on social media after former President Donald Trump was injured at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he and his wife, Sara were shocked by the apparent attack on President Trump, saying they prayed for his safety and speedy recovery.
Honduran President Xiomara Castro de Zelaya said violence generates more violence, saying “I am sorry for what is happening in the United States electoral process. My solidarity with @realDonaldTrump.”
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said his thoughts and prayers were with President in these dark hours.
Trump was rushed off stage after loud bangs were heard and he fell to the ground at the start of a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, Saturday night.
Blood could be seen on Trump’s face, and he raised a fist to the crowd as he was rushed away.
The CNN reports that the former president was yelling back to the crowd and raising his fist before being whisked away by security personnel.
The former president was then taken to a vehicle and evacuated from the scene. The incident took place moments after he took the stage at the rally.
