Nigerian comedienne Tomama has said that she feels incapable of motivating the younger generation.

In a viral video posted on her Instagram, Tomama urged podcasters to stop inviting her for interviews.

Reflecting on the numerous interview requests from podcasters, Tomama emphasized that she does not want to risk revealing her insensitivity in podcasts, as she believes some celebrities have done.

Speaking in pidgin, she announced, “Public service announcement, I don’t do podcasts because the number of interview requests I’ve received recently is overwhelming. So, I don’t do them.

“The sense I lack isn’t something I want you to discover on a podcast because, many times when I hear celebrities speaking on podcasts, I think to myself, ‘I used to think this person was sensible.’

“So, to all these podcasters asking me to talk about marriage, I tell them I’m not married. They say, ‘Oh, come and tell us about your journey or inspire the younger ones.’ These younger ones don’t need inspiration. They are the ones who will even inspire us at this point.”
