Stormzy and Maya Jama announced their separation in a joint statement released recently.
They recounted their love story, stressing how their relationship didn’t work out despite their efforts.
The couple who began dating in 2014, revealed that they first broke up in 2019 but decided to give it another try in August 2023 and it still didn’t work.
They said they have reached a mutual understanding to call it a quit.
“We fell madly in love in 2014, broke up in 2019, and then spent five years manoeuvring life apart. We decided to try for the final time in August 2023, and we’ve spent this past year trying our best to make it work; however, we recently decided to call it quits,” the statement partly read.
