It was a miracle of a sort on Thursday afternoon as eight pupils of a private primary school, Mama’s Academy returning from their graduation ceremony narrowly escaped death when a container fell on their vehicle at Lokongoma market in Lokoja, the capital of Kogi state.

All the children were successfully rescued from the two crushed vehicles, one Mitsubishi car with registration number Abuja RSH 241 FH and one corrolla with registration number Kogi LMA 190 AA.

An eyewitness told our correspondent that the driver of the articulated truck lost control and was reversing when he collided with the cars.

It was gathered that the the container on the truck, which not properly latched, fell on the two cars with eight school children.

It took the intervention of the good Samaritans to rescue the children unscratched. No one died in the accident.

The owner of the Corrolla car who identified himself simply as Adama said that all eight children were successfully rescued out of the car without any or them sustaining any form of injury.
