President Bola Tinubu has on Monday, signed the new Minimum Wage Bill into law.
The senate and the House of Representatives had speedily passed the Bill into law last week after they received it from the President. This was after the Federal Government and the Organised Labour had agreed on N70,000 as the minimum wage.
The Bill became an Act as Tinubu signed it at 2 pm at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, midway into the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
Those present at the signing ceremony included the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio who led the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin and other members of the National Assembly to the event.
