The chairpersons of Keffi and Karu Local government Areas of Nasarawa State have declared declared a dusk to dawn curfew over the two councils following the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protest.

Alhaji Muhammad Baba-Shehu, Chairman of Keffi local government council in Keffi said in a statement on Thursday that the dusk to dawn curfew was declared following the violence that characterized the first day of the protest.

The protesters blocked the Keffi-Abuja highway preventing motorists from leaving or coming into Keffi metropolis on Thursday.

Aside the blocking of the highway, the protesters who were in their hundreds also set fire on car tyres and threatened to beat up motorists who refused to retreat.

Thus, Baba-Shehu said the protest had taken a dimension that is out of control that even miscreants that are unidentified came prepared to loot in Keffi local government.
