Dozens of hoodlums on Thursday hijacked the ongoing nationwide #Endbadgovernance protest to loot agricultural commodities at the stores in Birnin Kudu, Gumel and Hadejia Local Government Areas of Jigawa state.
The suspected hoodlums looted the items after vandalising ware houses of the Jigawa Agricultural Supply Company (JASCO).
The items they looted include fertilisers and other inputs.
However, police operatives and other security agents fired tear gas to disperse the rampaging youths, and maintain law and order in the affected areas.
Reacting to the incident, DSP Lawan Shiisu, the Spokesman of the Police in in the State, said the command was monitoring the situation, and it would also address journalists later.
