Adele speaks on battle with gender, sexuality

Grammy award-winning British singer, Adele has opened up about her mental battle with gender and sexuality.

Despite being a straight woman, the award-winning English singer said she often feels like “a gay man.”

Addressing the crowd during her recent sold-out show in Munich, Germany, the 36-year-old said she feels “trapped.”

She said: “I often think I’m a gay man trapped in a straight woman’s body.”

Adele recently announced in an interview with German broadcaster ZDF, that she would be taking a break from music to explore new creative pursuits after the last leg of her ongoing tour in November.

The ‘Hello’ singer, who has been living in the United States for the past two years, explained that she would be relocating to her home country when her residency expires in November.

She told fans not to expect new music from her, stressing that she wants a “big break.”

“I don’t have plans for new music at all. I want a big break, and I think I want to do other creative things just for a little while,” Adele said.

The 16-time Grammy winner’s last album was 2021’s ’30,’ which won the British Album Of The Year, at the Brit Awards in 2022.

After her new album, 30, nabbed the title of best-selling album of 2021 (with more than 600,000 copies sold in the six weeks following its Nov. 19 release), Adele found the best way to celebrate — and invest her earnings.
