Justice Forum, a group with Lagos chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC said it will start mobilisation of its members to avoid what it described as a repeat the ‘2023 electoral misfortune’ of the party in Lagos.
The leader of the group who is also a member of Lagos APC Governance Advisory Council (GAC) Otunba Oladele Ajomale said this at the inauguration of local government and ward coordinators of the Justice Forum in Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
Some of the chieftains of APC president at the event were former Commissioner Abdulateef Abdulakeem, former House of Representatives member Hakeem Abiodun Muniru; Justice Forum Coordinator Jide Oni; Council Chairman Bayo Olasoju, Council Leader Hakeem Alarape, former Osodi/Isolo Council Chairman Martins Adegboyega; Ejigbo Council Vice Chairman Ayodele Ayodeji, Major Adebesin, Saheed Aregbesola, and Adeola Sodiq.
Members of the group came from seven wards- Akinbaye, Alagbeji, Apena, Ilasa, Ajao Estate, Okota and Ireakari.
Speaking at the event, Ajomale, said the objective of the JF was to join hands with other rival groups particularly Mandate Group to mobilise support for the success of APC in the state.
Ajomale added that there is ongoing process to ensure unity among members of the group and the APC To prevent a repeat of the 2023 electoral misfortune of the party, especially at the presidential election in the state.
Ajomale said: ”We have the population; we have peoole from all ethnic grouos. We can defeat Labour Party (LP). We are starting vert early so that our leader can win a second term with ease.”
The JF leader praised President Tinubu for steering Nigeria away from bankruptcy, while urging Nigerians to be patient.
He assured that the current hardship would soon give way to a new lease of life.
Also speaking at the event, Muniru said the JF has produced many elected leaders, urging its members to double their efforts at mobilisation for the party so that they can reap maximum reward.
“During elections, we are one family with other groups. Let us go and mobilise people to come to our party.”
Recall that the APC candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was lost Lagos to Peter Obi, the candidate of Labour Party in the 2023 presidential election.
