Jaywon unveils new album ‘Evergreen’

Nigerian singer Oluwajuwonlo Iledare, also known as Jaywon has released his fifth album titled ‘Evergreen’.

The album is coming after, “Jahbahlee” which was released in 2022.

The 14-track album features songs such as ‘Time’, ‘Aduke’, ‘This Year’, ‘For My Head’, ‘Omo Okun’, ‘Best Friends’, ‘Ankara’, and ‘Feelings’.

Other tracks include ‘I Believe’, ‘Obsession’, ‘See Finish’, ‘Turn Up Remix’, ‘Love Rehab’, and ‘Last Last’.

Jaywon collaborated with a diverse array of notable and rising artistes, including Oladips, Karl Wolf, Spyro, AK Gunshot, Jackson Lee, M-O, Kocee, Comfort Iledare, Magnito, Blaq Jerzee, Olakira, and Seyi Vibez.

Announcing the album release on Friday, he wrote, “This album is a labor of love, born from a deep desire to push the boundaries of music and create a timeless masterpiece”.

He added that his goal is to leave an indelible mark on the music world, transcending eras and genres.

In 2009, Jaywon signed a record deal with Kennis Music. Under the label, he released the hit single ‘Odun Yi (This Year),’ which brought him into prominence.

He has won several awards, including ‘Best New Artiste’ at the Nigerian Music Video Awards in 2009 and ‘Best Recording’ at the 2013 Headies.

Jaywon has four other studio albums: ‘Meet Jaywon,’ ‘Meet Jaywon Reloaded,’ ‘Oba Orin,’ and ‘Jahbahlee’.

He left Kennis Music in 2013 and later launched his own outfit called ‘Next World Music’.
