Lyles Noah storms to 100m gold in dramatic finish in Paris

Sprinter Lyles Noah of the United States stormed to the gold medal in Men’s 100m final at the Paris Olympics on Sunday to cement his name as one of the greatest 100m sprinters.

Noah came from behind to steal the show from Jamaica’s Thompson Kishane who thought he had won the race.

The American passed the finish line in 9.784 seconds on Sunday night to claim gold, with Kishane of Jamaica five-thousandths of a second behind, taking silver in 9.789 seconds.

The USA’s Fred Kerley claimed bronze in 9.81 seconds.

It was a great final as all the athletes clocked the finishing line below 10 seconds.

In winning the Men’s 100m gold, Noah set his personal best record, while Kerley touched the finishing line for his season’s best.
