Maverick entertainer Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has urged Nigerian youths to amplify the ongoing EndBadGovernance protests nationwide.
In a post on his official X handle on Tuesday, the well-known activist stressed that the pursuit of good governance is vital for survival of the nation.
“My dear Nigerian Youths, I trust that by now you all know what we’re up against. We can never make an omelet without breaking eggs. The powers that be are demonically entrenched,” he stated.
“We are led by people who are thieves, dishonest, insane, intolerable and don’t give a damn if we live or die. This is the fight of our lives and you guys are my bragging right.”
Charly Boy continued, “We can defeat this monster that has befallen us, we need to get louder and go pro max.”
The protest against the high cost of living, which began last Thursday, is expected to continue for at least ten days.
Despite President Bola Tinubu’s appeal during his nationwide broadcast on Sunday, protesters took to the streets in many states on Monday, demanding immediate action to reduce the prices of fuel, food, and other essential commodities.
However, the protest saw a greatly lower turnout on Tuesday after demonstrators were reportedly suppressed by security operatives on Monday.
