Nigerian sprinter, Udodi Chudi Onwuzurike failed to make it to the final of the 200m at the ongoing Paris Olympics as he crashed out in the semi-finals.
Onwuzurike, who started well in the race on Wednesday fizzled out in the middle of the contest and came a distant and disappointing seventh position.
Onwuzurike reached the finishing line in a time of 20.72 seconds.
The race was won by Erriyon Knighton in a time of 20.09 seconds, while Joseph Fahnbulleh of Liberia came second in a time of 20.12 seconds.
Tapiwanashe Makarawu of Zimbabwe came third in the race in a time of 20.16 seconds, while
Filippo Tortu of Italy came fourth in the race in a time of 20.54 seconds.
Brendon Rodney of Canada took fifth in a time of 20.59 seconds and Renan Correa came sixth 20.60 seconds while
Wayde van Niekerk of South Africa came last in the race.
