Nollywood actress and politician, Tonto Dikeh, has denied rumors that she was arrested and detained.
In a statement on Instagram, she dismissed the claims, stating that she has neither been arrested nor held by the police or any other Nigerian law enforcement agency.
Dikeh clarified that she is currently at home, enjoying the blessings of God.
Stressing her commitment to the law and her responsibilities as a diplomatic member, Dikeh expressed that there is a huge difference between assisting law enforcement and engaging in criminal activities.

She confirmed that she has never been subjected to a search warrant, arrest warrant, or any form of legal action by the Nigerian police.
Dikeh addressed the rumors, stating, “Let me be clear, I was not arrested or detained by any law enforcement agency. I am simply at home, enjoying the goodness of God. As a law-abiding citizen and a member of the diplomatic community, I strive to live ethically and cannot be involved in criminal activities.”
She also vowed to take legal action against those spreading false information about her and her brand, asserting, “I will not hesitate to defend myself against defamation and false narratives.”
She also expressed gratitude sarcastically to the rumour peddlers: “This is to inform those behind these false claims that their efforts have been unsuccessful. Thank you, and God bless.”
