Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has extended his congratulations to Senator Anthony Adefuye on his 80th birthday.

Adefuye, a member of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) is celebrated as a passionate democrat and experienced politician with a deep commitment to good governance and democratic principles.

Sanwo-Olu praised Adefuye for his huge contributions to the development of governance and politics in both Lagos State and Nigeria.

He noted Adefuye’s passionate service as a member of the Senate during the aborted Third Republic and his tireless efforts in defending democracy following the annulment of the June 12, 1993, presidential election.

The Governor, representing his family, the Lagos State government, and the broader community including the GAC, APC leaders, and members, expressed his love for Adefuye’s longstanding dedication.

As the senator marks his milestone 80th birthday on August 14, Sanwo-Olu wishes him continued good health and the strength to further contribute to the service of Lagos State and Nigeria.
