Zion and Chinwe, known in the house as Zinwe, are two love birds who have a knack for taking first positions. Not only were they the first housemate to make a grand entry into BBNaija Season 9 reality show tagged “No Loose guard”, they are the first to share a kiss in the house this season.
They are also the first lovers to quarrel openly on live television this season, with the female threatening to stage a walk out and bid the reality show goodbye, saying she had had enough.
And now Zinwe have taken another first, setting a record as the first duo who came into the house as lovers to loose guard and get intimate live on satellite television.
Get intimate on national television? Indeed, the lovers have taken their rambunctious love affair which started at a friend’s bachelor’s eve in January this year a notch higher.
They have put paid to speculations concerning the survival of their baby relationship in the house. And they have told everyone that they are in for a serious business as lovers, albeit in an unserious manner in a house that demands seriousness, caution, calculation and no loose guards.
However, what happened last night has further fuelled speculations about their life span in the house and cast a doubt on whether they are indeed in for a serious business in the house.
The duo, who have a knack for taking first positions, were caught, as it is said in pidgin slang, ‘knacking’ last night in the bathroom.
While some housemates namely Ozee, Ocee, Michky and Onteka, who were awake at the time observed it, as they ran to the door of the bathroom and put their ears to it to listen, Kayode the cameraman vouchsafed viewers a snippet of the duo making out.
Vouchsafed viewers a snippet of the duo making out? Sure. That intimacy may have come as a surprise to many, yet it is indeed the culmination of the heated relationship they have had ever since they stepped into the house.
It was no doubt what they needed to let off steam and relieve themselves of ‘konji’ that had been dealing severe blows on them.
The duo needed to make out in order to make in. They needed to get intimate in order to make their struggling love affair strong. They needed to make out in order to make the seeming resolution of their conflict real.
It would be recalled that last week Chinwe threatened to take a voluntary exit out of the house, after she and her boyfriend had fallen out over some disagreements.
Chinwe had accused Zion of not only listening to other housemates and allowing them to determine how he related with her but also neglecting her in the house. Chinwe also accused Zion of getting a shoulder rub from Nelly and giving attention to her.
Chinwe was so bitter that she cried and took her case to Biggie in the Diary room, asking for a voluntary exit. However, Zion had told her that she was over-reacting and should manage her emotions.
“I will go home to manage my emotions as you used me to enter the house! Your loose guard made me a laughing stock to the whole world. Why can’t you show that you care and love me.
“You are unreasonable, selfish and inconsiderate. I didn’t eat all through nor take my medication but Zion you ate three times yesterday.
“You don’t love me. You don’t care about me. You dated me just because you want to come here. Now that we are here you are detaching from me and you have deceived me,” Chinwe averred.
The lady who would be 31 in September said untold things about their relationship and his 27 year-old lover. She confessed to DJ Flo and Michky on different occasions that she was the one who sponsored him to the show.
“Zion na bad investment,” she said in Pidgin. “I have gone all out for him. I literally held his hand to this place. He is ungrateful. He never paid one dime I spent on him.
” I sponsored Zion. I paid his flight ticket, I did everything for him, the only thing he did was just to show up.”
However, when Ebuka Obi- Uchendu, the host of the show asked Chinwe at the live eviction show last Sunday whether she said that or not, she denied in order to save her relationship, saying she meant that she held Zion’s hand all through the process of making it into the house.
She later apologized to Zion, asking him to forgive her. She also promised never to disrespect him or take a voluntary exit again.
“Babe, Imagine my shock when Ebuka was actually trying to make the things he said to suit his own narrative. I never said those things. Ebuka sabotaged me. I was thrown under the bus. It doesn’t look good, it doesn’t feel good at all. He should have said what I said word for word, ” Chinwe maintained.
The resolution of their conflict, the palpable joy and happiness that resulted from it, the cheer in Chinwe’s face was the fuel the estranged duo needed.
What transpired last night was a culmination of long feelings of neglect and intimate starvation. After they had resolved their conflict, they became more fond of each other, they became truly one.
They were always together, laughing and having fun. As a prelude to what happened on Monday night, when Zion complained that he had a headache, her response was: “Shey you see this booty. it’ll motivate you to get well soon.”
And of course Chinwe has a booty that many fawn over. That was what Zion needed to hear to get well. And to prove what she meant, Chinwe later took a doggy position to reenact what was to follow.
Surely, if what happened last night in the bathroom was anything to go by, Zion will neither have a headache nor give his heartthrob any headache again.
