A new Commissioner of Police, CP Nemi Edwin-Iwo, has been deployed to Edo State.
CP Edwin-Iwo who assumed duty at the Command’s headquarters in Benin on Tuesday, is the 47th Commissioner of Police in Edo State.
A statement by the Command’s spokesman, SP Moses Joel Yamu, disclosed that CP Nemi Edwin-Iwo, was enlisted into Nigeria Police Force in the year 1992 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police and rose through the ranks.
He previously served at Lagos, Oyo, Bayelsa, Bauchi police commands and at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
He hails from Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers State, and he holds a BA (Hons) Degree in History from University of Port-Harcourt and Masters in Industrial Relations from the University of Ibadan.
“Over the last three decades in the Force, CP Nemi Edwin-Iwo has attended several Tactical and Leadership Courses both within and outside the country.
“Until his present posting, he was the Commissioner of Police in charge Intelligence at the Force Intelligence Department, Force Headquarters, Abuja,” the statement added.
