As Summer is winding down, former United States President, Barack Obama has released the list of 44 songs he listened to during the period.

The 44 songs posted by Obama on his X handle included songs by two Nigerian artistes. They are Tems and Rema.

Obama listed “Love me jeje” by Tems and “Yayo” by Rema.

“Love Me JeJe” is a song written and recorded by Nigerian singer Tems, released on 25 April 2024, via RCA Records. It serves as the second single from her debut studio album, Born in the Wild (2024).

Produced by GuiltyBeatz and Spax, the song interpolates Seyi Sodimu’s 1997 single “Love Me Jeje”

“Yayo” by Rema is his fourth rendition off his most-anticipated studio album, tagged ‘HEIS.’ It was in the year 2024 that this phenomenal tune was released. He really came through on this tune, so fascinating and pleasing to the ears.

You will find this harmony, as the fourth track off Rema’s sensational studio album tagged HEIS. The album bagged a total number of 11 entrancing Afrobeat and Pop records, with superb production, mixing, and mastering qualities.

According to Obama “With summer winding down, I wanted to share some songs that I’ve been listening to lately – and it wouldn’t be my playlist if it didn’t include an eclectic mix. I hope you find something new to listen to!”
