Afrobeats singer Daniel Benson, popularly known as BNXN, has called on the Federal Government to legalize Loud, a potent synthetic strain of cannabis that is currently banned in Nigeria.

Although this strain of cannabis has gained significant popularity among Nigerian youths, it remains illegal in the country, with users facing the possibility of imprisonment.

BNXN took to his verified X account to passionately appeal for the legalization of Loud, writing,

“Make dem legalize loud for this side o.”

This comes after the Lagos State Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, recently criticized rising singer Ayo Maff for bragging about using Canadian Loud in his song ‘Last Week.’

Hundeyin pointed out that many youths in prison might not be there if they hadn’t gotten involved with drugs, stating that illegal drug use often leads to criminal activity.
