Adedeji Adeleke, father of Nigerian singer Davido, has donated N1 billion to the Cherubim and Seraphim Church’s Centenary Endowment Fund.

The business tycoon donated the money during a thanksgiving service in Lagos.

He said the contribution was made in memory of his late mother, Nnena Esther Adeleke.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including governors and other prominent figures, highlighting the family’s influence and wealth.

A viral video showed the business tycoon announcing the N1 billion donation. The entire church erupted in wild jubilation when the announcement was made.

Born 6 March, 1956, he is a Nigerian businessman and president of Adeleke University.

He is also the CEO of Pacific Holdings Limited. He is the father of Davido, a Nigerian musician and Sharon.

He was married to Dr Vero who died on 6 March 2003. His younger brother Ademola Adeleke is the governor of Osun State.
