In response to a recent altercation between security personnel at Ashluxe headquarters and notable personalities Shan George and Caroline Hutchings, Yinka Ash, the CEO of Ashluxe, has issued a formal statement.
The incident occurred on the evening of August 18, 2024, between 8:30 PM and 10:00 PM.
Yinka Ash’s statement reads:
“I have been made aware of the incident that occurred on our office premises on Saturday, 18.08.2024. Upon learning of the situation, it was promptly reported to the relevant authorities, and we are cooperating fully with their ongoing inquiry and investigation.
I sincerely empathize with Ms. Carolyna Hutchings and Ms. Shan George regarding the unfortunate events and have personally reached out to them.
Our organization does not condone or support violence, assault, or harassment in any form.
We will continue to engage with all parties involved and cooperate with the authorities as they carry out their investigation. My best regards, Yinka Ash.”
Prior to Yinka Ash’s statement, Caroline Hutchings had publicly criticized him, accusing him of being dismissive and disrespectful, and alleging a history of poor treatment towards women.
This incident follows a recent controversy involving Ashluxe, where Yinka Ash publicly called out singer Lyta for allegedly wearing a counterfeit version of his brand.
The backlash was intense, with many suggesting that Ash should have provided the genuine product instead. Lyta responded with humour, adding the drama into the lyrics of his latest song.
