Nigerian singer and half of defunct PSquare, Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has questioned why he and his brothers can’t come together as family members even if they are no longer in business together.
The crisis rocking the P-Square’s music group, Paul and Peter Okoye, became public after Paul, in an interview, accused his twin brother of petitioning the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to arrest him.
Reacting to the allegation, Peter, in an open letter on social media, denied the accusations, stating that his focus was on uncovering the truth behind a secret company, Northside Music, allegedly owned by their elder brother, Jude Okoye, and his wife, Ifeoma.
In response, their elder brother, Jude, in an Instagram live session on Saturday, denied the allegations by Peter that he diverted P-Square’s royalties worth millions of dollars into a private account.
However, speaking during an Instagram live session on Monday, August 19, 2024, Rudeboy said, “Even if we don’t do P-Square, can’t we be brothers? Even if we can’t do music, can’t we be brothers?
“Like I said, I don’t want to talk much. I don’t used to talk before. It’s so unfortunate.”
Rudeboy had accused his twin brother Peter of orchestrating his recent arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Recall that Rudeboy and his elder brother, Jude Okoye, were arrested by the anti-graft agency recently.
Peter denied the allegations and accused Jude of siphoning millions of dollars from their joint account into a secret company.
In a recent Instagram Live session, Jude expressed frustration at being repeatedly dragged into his brothers’ dispute.
Jude Okoye rubbished Peter’s fraud allegations, claiming he “twisted” it to make it “look fraudulent.”
He explained that P-Square’s proceeds were shared between him, Peter and Paul.
However, the case between the brothers is still being investigated by the EFCC.
Peter and Paul, first fell out in 2017, to pursue solo careers. The brothers reunited in November 2021, but their reconciliation was short-lived.
