Amid the ongoing efforts to enhance democratic governance in Kogi State, the recent appointment of over 1000 individuals by Governor Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo has been hailed as a strategic move towards embodying the principles of inclusivity and broad representation.
According to Haj. Aishat Oyiza Omade, State Coordinator/CEO of the Kogi State Social Investment Programme Agency, “This appointment is a testament to the Governor’s commitment to grassroots engagement, participatory leadership, human development and sustainability”.
Oyiza emphasized that by selecting individuals from each ward across all local government areas, the Governor has demonstrated his dedication to strengthening the bond between the government and citizens. “This move is a clear indication of the Governor’s resolve to ensure that every citizen has a voice in the governance of the state,” she added.
