When a song feels heavy in the heart of a listener, it points out to the burden the artiste must have carried to make such a record. This is what Issavybe’s Try Again, feels like when you listen to it, from the story behind the song to the emotions his voice pours. Try Again was released on August 28, 2024, the song was inspired by a true life event regarding the life of the artiste, Issavybe. A song that carries a tale of his dream to become like a certain superstar, who he adores so much. With trials to be a duplicate of the superstar until his friend called his attention to originality. He was advised to be the best version of himself, which is the best way to become a superstar of his own true identity.

Try Again is a song recorded into a brief duration but heavy with a story of how Issavybe explores the struggle to find his own path. The song is a product of his ideology around his music career, Issavybe just like every other curious creative, felt the need to act or maybe probably sing like a superstar he saw on television. He thought if he imitates the lifestyle or music style of the superstar he loves. he would find the same success or fame. This created a heavy burden on him because he was not being true to himself and almost seeking the validation to be like someone else, undermining the power of being himself.

The lyrics in Try Again show the moment of transition when he listened to his friend’s advice  and decided to stop trying to be a carbon copy. This choice changed his music and made it feel much more honest to the people listening. When the song opens, the calm vocal background of a female echoes serving as an intended an intro, almost preparing the listener for not just emotions, but the easygoing melodic voice of Issavybe despite the song’s melancholic mood. When Issavybe begins to sing, his voice purges a sincere emotion, pacing through the piano instrumental supporting the strength of his feelings.

He sings, you don’t have to try again/you don’t have to be afraid…/. In these opening lyrics that probably serve as amazing hook, he is informing himself and his listeners or fans that the fear of not being good enough should be a thing of the past. The lines you don’t have to try again  by Issavybe is to mean that he can stop the hard work of pretending. He can finally decide to be like himself only.  The hook repeats twice with other lines assuring his self discovery.

Issavybe is one of those talented artiste with the musical prowess to tell deep stories in a very calm and soulful flow. The unforced lyrics of Issavybe aids the smooth story line, the piano sounds compliment the catharsis of the song, and the rhythmical flows softly sailing  throughout the track without obstruction. Try Again is a beautiful track with a superb storytelling background, in a very brief duration Issavybe delivers lyrically and vocally, and this has been a consistent style of his.
