“Not ready to be a great parent” – John Cena reveals biggest fear

American actor and professional wrestler John Cena has opened up about his biggest fear—never being ready to be a “great parent.”

The 47-year-old, who has been married twice but remains childless, shared his thoughts in an interview with Club Shay Shay.

“My biggest fear is I don’t think I’m personally ready, nor will I ever be, to invest the time it takes to be a great parent,” Cena revealed.

“Because I still have a lot to do and I still want to do a lot. I have a wonderful partner, and we’ve had open conversations about this. We share the same values.”

Cena acknowledged the sensitivity of the topic, noting that it can invite judgment.

“It’s a tough subject to talk about because it immediately puts you in a category. People tend to judge. Human nature—we are all judgmental. But I operate under the construct that everyone is okay living their lives.”

Despite his reservations about parenthood, Cena expressed contentment with his current life.

“I’m very happy with where I stand. I’ve found a lot of joy and fulfillment in my life,” he added.

Cena first married Elizabeth Huberdeau on July 11, 2009, but the couple divorced on July 18, 2012.

He later married his girlfriend, Shay Shariatzadeh, in a private ceremony on October 12, 2020. Both marriages have not resulted in children.
