Prof. Kamil Rauf, Director of the Computer-Based Centre at the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), announced on Monday that a total of 16,097 candidates participated in the institution’s 2024 Post-UTME screening.

Speaking with journalists in Ilorin, Rauf expressed satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the exercise, attributing its success to the thorough preparations made by the university management.

“The success of the screening was largely due to the material and human resources support provided by the management,” Rauf said.

He also highlighted that the high-quality infrastructure at the CBT has positively impacted the university’s internal examinations, including departmental exams, Institute of Education exams, Centre for Open and Distance Learning (CODL) exams, remedial exams, and the Post-UTME screening.

Additionally, Rauf noted that the University of Ilorin serves as a centre for various other examinations, including those conducted by the police and pension services, as well as for the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, Nursing Council of Nigeria, and Agricultural Council of Nigeria, among others.

However, the Director did not disclose the number of candidates the university would admit for the 2024/2025 session. “I will update the media on this once a decision has been made,” he stated.
