Hajiya Dada, mother of late President Yar'Adua, is dead; Tinubu mourns

Hajiya Dada, the mother of the late former Nigerian President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua and the late General Shehu Musa Yar’Adua, passed away on Monday at an advanced age.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu expressed his sorrow and extended condolences to the Yar’Adua family over Hajiya Dada’s passing.

In a statement issued on Monday by presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu also extended his sympathies to Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’Adua, the people of Katsina State, and the many lives the late matriarch touched.

While mourning Hajiya Dada, President Tinubu praised her legacy of compassion, faith, honesty, and good fellowship.

The President prayed for the repose of her soul and affirmed that the beloved matriarch of the Yar’Adua family would be fondly remembered for the support, peace, joy, and comfort she provided to many.
