Recently evicted Big Brother Naija housemate Fairme David has shed light on his decision to stay single during his time in the house.
In an interview with Outsyd by Pulse, Fairme revealed that his primary focus was not on finding love but on presenting his authentic self to the audience.
When questioned about his lack of involvement in any romantic entanglements with female housemates, Fairme clarified, “I didn’t go into that house to find love. Love is not my problem, so I went there to show who Fairme is.”
Fairme noted that while some housemates used relationships and love as a strategic advantage, he chose not to engage in a fabricated romance.
He elaborated, “If I had developed feelings for someone, I would have pursued it. But I didn’t want to pretend to be in love just for the show or for the viewers.”
He also noted that while being in a relationship might boost one’s standing in the house, he preferred genuine connections over superficial ones.
“I wanted it to be real, not forced, so I took my time and did me,” he said.
Fairme admitted that despite the presence of many attractive women in the house, none of them met his ideal type.
“If the love did not come or I didn’t see anyone I was attracted to, fine. I didn’t see anyone that was really my spec; yes, I didn’t see anyone like that. But they were all beautiful women in that house,” he concluded.
