Nasarawa State Governor Engr. Abdullahi Sule has vowed to deploy all available resources to protect the people and property of Nasarawa State.

The governor made this commitment during a closed-door security council meeting in Lafia on Monday.

Addressing the ongoing issues of kidnapping, armed robbery, banditry, and other crimes, Sule emphasized his determination to combat crime in the state, known as the Home of Solid Minerals.

According to a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Addra, the governor reaffirmed his dedication during a meeting with security agency heads at the Government House, Lafia.

He promised to enhance his administration’s efforts to ensure the safety of all residents in Nasarawa State.

The statement highlighted Sule’s assurance of full support to law enforcement officers to aid them in effectively and professionally addressing both traditional and emerging crime patterns.

“In addition to what we have already done, let me know what you need, and we will provide it to secure our people,” he instructed the officers.

The governor expressed his frustration with the recent surge in criminal activities, particularly in Lafia, where citizens are being abducted by criminal gangs for ransom.

“The recent incidents in Lafia and other parts of the state cannot continue. We must not be complacent but instead intensify our efforts and collaboration to protect our people,” he said.

The statement also noted that Sule is committed to allocating necessary resources to ensure the safety of lives and property in the state.

“No expense is too great when it comes to ensuring the security of our people. I urge our citizens and stakeholders to support the proactive measures being implemented to eliminate crime in the state,” he added.
