Jelly Bee, an artiste signed to ABangz Originals music label, has shared insights into her new EP, “Sappy.”

She describes it as a work of art that captures both happy and sad moments, reflecting her intent to make a significant impact in the African music space.

The Sierra Leonean singer, born Betty Lamboi, is making notable strides in the Nigerian music scene.

She describes herself musically as a preacher, teacher, and entertainer, attributes she says are embodied in her new EP, “Sappy.”

“Musically, Jelly Bee is a hope giver, a preacher, a teacher, and an entertainer,” she explains.

“Because I do certain songs that give hope, preach love and peace, teach lessons, and of course make people happy.”

“Sappy is a reflection of these attributes. Sappy is about happy and sad moments. Every teacher and preacher knows life isn’t all about good times; there are highs and lows. This is something Sappy is trying to drive home. Don’t get me wrong, Jelly Bee is all about positive vibes and energy all the way, but unfortunately, life is not always that way, and we have to come to grips with this reality,” she adds.

Jelly Bee also highlights that her sound and style of music are unique in how they convey messages. She describes “Sappy” as a blend of mixed emotions.

According to her, her biggest hit so far is “Better Than,” which resonates deeply with her as it tells the story of her life and reflects on what she and her family, especially her father, have experienced.
