Residents of Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, have expressed their frustration over the recent increase in petrol prices announced by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

In interviews with residents waiting in line, Engr. Ogunyinka Solomon, Mr. Ajayi Solomon, and Chibezie Agudio each described the challenge of obtaining petrol, citing long hours spent at the stations.

The residents have urged the Federal Government to reconsider the new pricing structure, warning that if not reversed, it will lead to higher costs for goods and services, which could have widespread adverse effects on the country.
