The U.S. government has announced a new $250 million military aid package to support Ukraine in its ongoing defense against Russia’s attacks.
In a statement on September 6, 2024, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken detailed that the assistance, drawn from Department of Defense stocks, will provide air defense missiles, rocket and artillery munitions, anti-tank weapons, Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicles, and other essential equipment.
He said this aid package underscores the U.S’. unwavering commitment to Ukraine’s self-defense efforts.
The weapons and equipment will be deployed swiftly to bolster Ukraine’s defenses, in line with President Biden’s promise to continue supporting the nation amid Russia’s continued aggression.
