Luton Town has announced the signing of former Nigerian international, Victor Moses on a permanent deal, pending international clearance.
The 33-year-old recently played in Russia for Spartak Moscow, joining them in 2021 after a successful loan stint from Chelsea during the 2020/21 season.
Born in Kaduna, Nigeria, Moses moved to the UK at a young age and represented England at youth levels, from Under-16 to Under-21.
He began his career at Crystal Palace, where he made 69 appearances and scored 11 goals while playing for the club in the Championship.
Moses made the leap to the Premier League in January 2010, signing with Wigan Athletic for £2.5 million. He scored nine goals in 80 appearances before Chelsea acquired him for £9 million in 2012.
During his time at Chelsea, Moses was part of the team that won the Europa League in 2012/13.
However, he spent much of his nine years with the club on loan to various teams, including Liverpool, Inter Milan, West Ham, Stoke, and Fenerbahçe.
In total, Moses made 128 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 18 goals, and played a key role in the club’s Premier League and FA Cup victories in 2017 and 2018.
He eventually moved permanently to Spartak Moscow for £4.5 million, where he added a Russian Cup to his list of accomplishments.
Now, Moses embarks on the next chapter of his career with Luton Town, bringing a wealth of experience from top European leagues.
