Nollywood icon, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, has responded with humour after a fan mistakenly referred to her by the wrong name.
The incident occurred when a social media influencer and music executive, Dami Adenuga, shared a video of the celebrated actress but addressed her as “Omotola Johnson.”
The video, which was originally posted by Omotola herself, featured the actress discussing why she occasionally takes breaks from Nollywood.
As the post gained attention, Omotola was quick to notice the error and stepped in to set the record straight.
In a lighthearted response, the actress pointed out that she could have simply been referred to by her first name, “Omotola,” a name she revealed is actually trademarked.
“Omotola Johnson? Lol… please just call me OMOTOLA. It will suffice. It’s trademarked,” she humorously replied.
The exchange sparked reactions online, with fans praising the actress for her politely handling of the situation.
Omotola has appeared in over 300 films, selling millions of copies. Omotola is the second Nigerian and first Nigerian celebrity to receive over 1 million likes on her Facebook page.
