Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, the iconic 43-year-old American singer, has opened up about the challenges of fame and her approach to making music.

The star in an interview with GQ disclosed that despite her global success, fame can sometimes feel like a prison.

Beyoncé, known for her transformative impact on the music industry, shared that she now creates music at her own pace.

“I create at my own pace, on things that I hope will touch other people. I hope my work encourages people to look within themselves and come to terms with their own creativity, strength, and resilience,” she said. She stressed that her focus is on storytelling, growth, and quality, rather than striving for perfection.

The singer explained that while working on projects like “Cowboy Carter” and other new ventures is liberating, the pressures of fame can sometimes be burdensome.

“It is fame that can at times feel like prison. So, when you don’t see me on red carpets, and when I disappear until I have art to share, that’s why,” Beyoncé said.

When asked about retirement plans, Beyoncé responded with her optimism, stating, “Good music and strong messages will never retire.”
